Remember, if you want your side of the war or conflict told, step up and send us a submission. we do not print anonymous items and, the language has to be PG. We don’t pick favorites nor, do we get directly involved between player issues. That’s what the bully section is for.

This is yet another version of a series of totally unsubstantiated and damaging rumours that claim that pedophiles are attempting to contact children via Facebook. While this version names a person called Harry Graham, other versions have used the names of other men. There is no credible evidence to back up the claims in these messages. Spreading scurrilous and unfounded rumours such as this can unfairly damage the reputation of innocent people. This bogus warning is without merit and should not be reposted.

Keel Dr. Squirrel!

He began his career at Playerscripts as a forum and chat user like the rest of us. At that time he went by the name of “Secret Squirrel“. He was a kind and friendly, cute little rodent, or so we thought. It wasn’t long after his promotion to Moderator on the site that he grew into the Super Villain we now call “Dr. Squirrel”.

PS MWE testing, and the scary walk home…

Winterborn stumbled across the secret lair of the evil doctor one evening on his way home from the PS MWE testing grounds. It was a long day testing the Livelinks demo and he saw a light flickering in the distance. He came across a hollowed out tree illuminated by candle light, and to his horror and dismay what he found was more than he could handle, and much more than he was prepared for. Dr. Squirrel was in his laboratory working on a plan to destroy the entire Mafia Wars community and turn all it’s players into Farmville farmers to collect acorns for the Evil Dr. Squirrel! Winterborn shrieked like a little schoolgirl and went running into the night with his hands flailing overhead.

Dr. Squirrel must be stopped

When Winterborn failed to report for duty the following day we were all concerned and tracked him down to see what had happened. He was curled up in a ball in the corner of his room muttering something about acorn farming. Gibson_sg was able to decipher the gibberish and alerted Cre8 and Sal who in turn informed the rest of the Playerscripts staff of Dr. Squirrel’s evil plan. The only way to stop the evil Dr. is to keep him on ice. But we can’t do it alone.

Are you ready to save us all?

DON”T SUBMIT INFORMATION YOU DO NOT WANT IT SHARED.

We DO NOT publish anonymous announcements, particularly if they involve meeting outside the virtual world of FB. If you do include something you don’t want shared then, SAY SO! I have heard twice too many times things like ” I didn’t tell you to post my profile link”. No, we don’t ask nor require permission to name the source of our submissions.
In fact that would be irresponsible  given the number of cybercriminals still hunting “pigeons” in our community not to have traceable attribution on a public online notice.
BTW, I am not trying to embarrass any particular person, this is a general pet peeve of mine. I know we have some really great minds on our staff but, none of us can read minds (well, may be Tim but that;s all!!!).
We love you guys and we hate to upset even one of you but, please,,, a little common sense goes a long way to a safe and happy experience online.  It takes a village guys… :)
One final suggestion, before placing your announcement  or submitting your story to any distribution media. Take  look at the distribution media and make sure you understand it’s style. Think about it, it is you or your organization who will have to own up to whatever you are submitting. Don’t expect the publication to edit or in any way correct your submission. Specially if it is a free community publication where time is very limited and, the staff is very, very busy trying to solve problems for bullied or technology impaired players!  LOL!!!
