Well, unless you have been hiding under a rock, you know Brazil has opened. I will leave all the technical details to Jennifer but, I do want to let you know what I experienced this afternoon as I got to test the beta some three minutes after it opened.
And, what I found was pretty much the same page design Italy and Vegas already sported with a vital difference. The images of your "Brazil Crew" along side their bonuses on your jobs page.Nothing particularly exciting on first glance except the collections which, are all very much worth the trouble. :)

If you check your Free Gift Page, you will notice that the Carnaval Masks have been removed. This seems a little early as the event till has 14 hours left. It's hard to know for sure what is going but it may have something to do with the behind the scenes preparations for the launch of Brazil Beta....
The bad news about Brazil is that it's going to take a lot of energy to fully master. Here are the job costs for the Ruby Level of District 5. The good news here is that the lowest mastery for any job is 6%. Even with that it's not going to be easy....
The last District of Brazil is called Recife. Here are the 11 jobs. The last property which unlocks after mastering the first job is the Barracks. The last new consumable item in Brazil is the Satchel Charge and it drops during the first job. You will need them to do the 2 following jobs....

District 2 of Brazil is called Belem and there are no real differences from District 1. The art work is great and opens up anytime you do one of the jobs. I'm also liking how the loot drops flash at the bottom and then they stay put. You can see what you've looted on a manual run....

I'm in Brazil right now, and the first thing I notice is that to build properties, a good bit of the items you need from them, come from the old cities. The 2nd thing I noticed is when fighting, instead of using 1 stamina point, it now costs 5 stamina to do one fight (25 stamina for power hit).

There is a lot going on in the mafia Wars landscape. Brazil is getting ready to be rolled out. For those of you lucky enough to be chosen as a beta tester for the game, you will get your opportunity this evening as Zynga is opening Brazil for testing. In addition, the current format for energy packs is going to change. Well looks like the Mini Energy Packs are finally rolling out. So instead of getting the big 125% energy pack you will now get 6 mini packs each 25% energy boosts which total 150%. So you will have the opportunity to receive an extra 25% on top of what you usually get. There is a lot going on and reason to get into your game and stay up with the changes coming.
On another note, S.D.M.F. is on a recruitment blitz. We have been quiet the past few months and we are ready to make some noise and be heard! New administrators are at work and we are going to be expanding. New players as well as the seasoned veteran are what we are targeting. There are those of you who feel you are not strong enough to be in a clan but we at S.D.M.F. are here to help you in any way we can. Mafia Wars is a game built around social networking and being social is the way to improve your game quickly. We utilize Skype to stay in touch with one another in real time. Moreover, I have set up a Twitter account so you can stay up to date wherever you are.
Skype is a very important way for you to get you missions and operations completed quickly. Moreover, should war be declared upon you can fight back quickly and win when those sneaky people think you are not looking.
