SOLDIER IMPERSONATORS TARGET WOMEN WITH SCAMSBy JC BLAKE and B SCHREINER
Associated Press

Con artists are targeting women on Facebook in what's becoming an all-too-common ruse: They steal photos of soldiers to set up profiles, profess their love and devotion in sappy messages - and then ask their victims to cut a check.http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_SOLDIER_FACEBOOK_SCAM?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

FROM JUNE'S DESK
JUNE A. LAUGHTER, Managing Editor
I'm Back from the PAC and Ready to Attack
Although I can't give you all complete details on the happenings behind the scenes at the PAC training session this past weekend, I will let you know of some of the things that can be revealed. First of all I had an atrocious time dealing with transportation issues trying to get to San Francisco. I finally did arrive in there after shuffling, hustling and dealing with a lot of red tape, an hour and a half later than originally scheduled. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the dinner that was hosted on Friday night.
Saturday was absolutely wonderful. It was the day we actually got to meet with the top representatives from Mafia Wars itself. We met together in the lobby of the hotel and early in the morning we all boarded the bus to Zyngaville. We began with a tour of the main Headquarters where we were shown the hallways of the facility and where the various departments where the brains of the operation work their technical magic.  Due to confidentiality, we were unable to see the actual behind the scenes operations within the organization.
Following the tour we walked down to the studio for an afternoon full of information and insight from various members of the Mafia Wars team. Everything from development to security was discussed at that time. We had days of information crammed into an eight hour day. We were introduced and able to have one on one conversations with the top leaders behind the game. These people were just amazing and the questions from the members of the PAC were all answered in full detail and a complete explanation for each one. During lunch we mingled with the employees and were able to voice some added concerns, talk about life as a Mafia Wars employee and have general conversations.
In the afternoon we were given the opportunity to separate into groups to put together an idea for a new addition or improvement to the game. These teams put their heads together and came up with some wonderful ideas which were all presented to the group and to the developers for possible inclusion in the future. Although we may never actually see these ideas in action, there is still a chance that we may. We discussed issues that are always concerns of the everyday gamer and after it was all said and done we walked away with a whole new outlook about Zynga as a whole.
The people who were selected to be a part of the Committee are also wonderful. It was great to finally put names to the faces and to give each of them hugs . Especially after talking to many of them that we have chatted with for so long. We made new friends and value each one of them.

I raise my coffee mug and toast the entire gang! Cheers to you all for a great time, a magnificent experience and the opportunity to be able to represent our fellow family members.

Tomorrow I will continue to let you know a bit more of what the Players Advisory Committee is all about.  I will also include information as to what to do or not to do when contacting Zynga Customer Support in order to have a better chance at having legitimate problems within your game corrected.  In the meantime, if you have any questions for me concerning the PAC, please feel free to comment or forward a message to my personal inbox on facebook.  Again, there may be some that I will be unable to provide details do to confidentiality, but I will do the best I can to provide you with an answer that will help to bring some satisfaction to you.

One of the really interesting presentations at the PAC was given by the Zynga Director of Security Operations. It doesn't get higher than him and if he knows who you are, it's not a good thing. He is known as the Dark Knight and nothing get past him. The Dark Knight wasn't there to scare us but to reiterate common sense....
Sorry I've missed the last 2 points! Hopefully you checked in on Mafia Wars Loot Lady Fan Page because Leonard posted them for you. http://zyn.ga/2sm Article written by Jennifer Patterson, Creator of the MW Loot Lady Blog, The Mafia Wars Loot Lady Facebook Fan Page and Co-Host of The Informant Podcast. I'm back home from The Player Advisory Committee and now it's time to get back to work. I thank my guest bloggers for giving you something to read this weekend and I'll do my best to capture what exactly happened while I was away. The number one question I've been asked is what was the purpose of this event....

This Daily Post/re training sounded great But to tell you the truth it is just about useless There seems to be nothing this Group can do to stop Mass /gang Robbing/Attacking Just happened to me AGAIN this time not as Bad Just 32 Robbers in a row within 1 Min we all know how this happens but nothing ever gets done about banning these gangs of social misfits Great Idea but powerless I have enjoyed reading some of the posts but I would like to find a Group that does more than just talks.. Have a great day happy MWing.
If you are on a robbing board there isn't anything we can do about that. But if someone is targeting you directly of course we will attempt to help with that the best that we can! Using every resource we have. So don't think we are here for nothing. We absolutely will help when ever we can!
