Hi Gang! 

There is no way we're leaving anything behind for the Post to talk about!!!
 Ok, folks, we are trying something a little different again. This time we are coming out at the top of the week and, we are adding a little Empire & Allies news to our usual MW fare. We are also putting a little more effort into getting Crime Seekers and our Emergency Bulletin Board populated with helpful information you can use whether you game or not. We won't let you give players clues and tips without a fight!!!

BTW, I also have a special thank you to those who responded to my Cleaning House event. I will begin removing folk this week and, hope to be done by wed. I am glad to say I only got 60 responses saying good bye out of  5001.  :)

      • A few days ago, Zynga announced that the Power Packs were entering Phase 2 of the "Power Pack Experiment" (1). Some players got Power Packs which provided a 100% stamina refill every 16 hours and some players got one that provided a 50% stamina refill every 8 hours. Oh yeah and a rather large group got screwed and ended up with no Power Packs at all....

        An item is made available in the marketplace with a starting price and starting stats (100/56 in the case of our first Group Sale item, the Onyx 50). Then, as more of the item are sold, its stats are upgraded. When the stats improve, the price increases too, but only for anynew purchases of the item. Pre-upgrade purchases get the better stats for free! The level of stats everyone ends up receiving depends on the sales tier achieved by the end of the Group Sale (note the timer in the image, which is counting down to an end time of 2am PDT on 8/26 for the Onyx 50).

  • Implemented a fix which should prevent users from disconnecting when trying to purchase goods from a neighbor's market.
  • Fixed an error where some of the Energy drops on Critical Kills were being added to your Energy bar, but weren't appearing as drops.
  • Fixed an error where some higher tier units were appearing in pvp invasions against players who were too low level to unlock them.
  • Fixed an error where avatar images weren't displaying properly for some users.
  • The KFX Fighter now sounds like a Fighter, rather than an Airship.
  • Fixed an error that disconnected you if you exited a battle before deploying your troops.
Please Note: There is a bug with this release that disconnects you when you attempt to purchase one of the Participation Rewards from the latest round of the Damage Dash Leaderboard. If you tried to purchase one of the units and your unit disappeared, please contact Zynga Support and they will be able to straighten it out for you.  The General was in the field yesterday, taking command of our forces on the ground. Now that the situation is under control, I'm sure all have noticed our new Prism Power Pack!

This includes a whole new batch of multi-colored Mustang Fighters and Sherman Tanks for you to wreak brightly-colored havoc on your enemies! Don't forget that the red ones are exceptionally strong—the red ones are always better, right?
We've also got a number of other fixes and improvements coming out!

  • We've added three new crops at different time investment scales—Cabbage, Chili Peppers, and Red Onions!
Fixes
  • The game no longer lets you try and change the names of your neighbors' Empires. Sorry.
  • High level units that have been unlocked with EP now sort properly in the Build menu.

You must know about your unit class and your unit ability (Great against with other unit class). In every combat you must know your enemy units HP too.For Example:

Hi Gang! 
Here is another week end edition of TDP. Things are going to continue being hectic for a while and, with me finally going in for surgery (Achilles Tendon tear),well, ...It's going to be tricky (LOL).
Ok, this week we were introduced to the new Hospital and, those handy power packs. They are still being reported as glitchy but, this time it's because some players seem to be able to use 2 in sequence. Don't get your hopes up though, Zynga will get that glitch fixed very quickly  (if not fixed already).
I think you will find a good assortment of story links to keep you busy for a bit. So, go for it!

    • Power Packs
      Stamina Packs are being upgraded - to Power Packs!* These dual-purpose packs can be used to refill your stamina OR health, depending on where you use them and what you need at the time.
      To fill your stamina to 125% of your max, use a Power Pack on your Home Screen. As with Energy Packs, you can use Power Packs to refill your stamina every 8 hours:

      To fill your health to 200% of your max, use a Power Pack via the newly renovated Hospital. You can use a Power Pack to refill your health every 10 minutes:

      You'll also be given the opportunity to use a Power Pack whenever you try to do something for which you don't currently have enough stamina (robbing, fighting, etc.) or health (fighting, for example). When you attempt to do so, you will be prompted to use a Power Pack (or ask your mafia for them if you don't have any) or RP to refill the one you are lacking, which is indicated at the top of the prompt:

      Keep your mafia in the fight by sending them some Power Packs!*
      *As with all new features, we're rolling out Power Packs and the renovated Hospital to a limited number of players at first to ensure stability. We will release it to the remaining players as soon as we can.

    • Secret District: Smuggler's Haven
      One of the things that makes Mafia Wars so much fun is that it is a living, evolving game. We work hard to release a lot of exciting content and extensively test every feature and event prior to release, but sometimes imbalances don’t become apparent until those features are in use by millions of players. Unfortunately, the XP/energy ratios of the Smuggler’s Haven Secret District is one of those cases and we have determined that they need to be adjusted again this afternoon to preserve the balance that keeps Mafia Wars fun for everyone. The ratios will be closer to those found throughout the rest of Brazil. We want to apologize for the inconvenience, so as a consolation, we will be increasing the stats of the loot received in Smuggler’s Haven. We hope you enjoy the better loot!

    MAFIA WARS FIGHTING – DA SCRAPPY CHIHUAHUA STYLE (Post #3) 

         In the last post I pointed out 4 big no-nos to avoid continuous beatdowns from one player stronger than you. Here are the reasons why options 2 & 3 should not be done.
    BULLY AVOIDANCE & PREVENTION
    Asking your mafia to attack him doesn't very often accomplish retribution. Your mafia's FB access to your bully's profile only lasts 1 hour. Most of the time he is already iced when they attack. So they may win the fight but he doesn't really suffer any loss. And once they leave the screen with his link they can't get to him any more. You get only a "moral" victory and if that's all you want then you're okay. But, as with hit listing, the bully will get an update that you asked, giving him a direct-access link to your profile.
